Job description

The role is based in Germany / Switzerland and will focus on client work as we grow our presence on the European market, and is dedicated to revenue generation by establishing and growing a network potential clients that are striving for business transformation. Our work with organisations spans across digital, innovation, and culture & leadership development, with a focus on developing and/or educating people to lead the change.

Responsibilities & tasks

Business Growth:

  • Identify a variety of sources (direct outreach, networking, industry conferences, press, PR) to develop new leads and client prospects with significant long-term revenue potential
  • Develop a knowledge base and broad networks of relationships in key industry segments eg FMCG / Finance / Communication & Branding / Media / Healthcare / Retail
  • Managing outreach programs, generating meetings/conference calls and following up accordingly with regular ‘keep in touch’ campaigns to establish an ongoing dialogue with potential clients
  • Targeting new prospects with relevant communication and marketing materials in collaboration with our marketing department in Stockholm
  • Create sales strategies and tactics to gain new customers on C-suite level
  • Consult potential clients to understand their underlying needs and match it with our offering by tailoring well-thought through proposals
  • Set the first preliminary drafts of a potential learning design during the proposal phase for a potential client
  • Collaborate closely with the global BT team and across verticals

Design & Delivery:

  • Build a delivery team around each client project; manage the team from start to end by closely collaborating with Project Managers, learning designer, facilitators and speakers
  • Manage the clients expectations during the journey and keeping an eye on the project budget
  • With our learning designers, create a learning journey for our clients and take an active part in the pre-work of a project
  • Co-facilitate with the delivery team during client learning journeys

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is a natural networker, with business flair, an entrepreneurial spirit and a relentless focus on targeting new opportunities and winning new business
  • He or she has strong interpersonal skills and resilience to build new relationships, as well as creativity and energy to activate the previous client list
  • The ability to communicate the opportunities digital can bring whilst understanding the challenges organizations face adopting a Digital First mindset is crucial
  • This role requires autonomy, personal drive, and a ‘hands-on, can-do’ attitude
  • Being comfortable with a consultancy approach with our client and support them throughout their consideration cycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work closely with international teams within Hyper Island
  • You reside in Germany or Switzerland, and are fluent in German and English

Aptitude

  • Experienced business developer, able to generate sales income and with a minimum of 7 years experience in commercial revenue generation
  • Proven track record of establishing and building new client relationships in the digital, marketing, innovation, or management consulting arena
  • Demonstrated strategic and business acumen with the ability to quickly and incisively diagnose a client’s biggest business challenge
  • Demonstrated skills at consultative selling with an ability to uncover key insights through ongoing conversations, discussions, and Q&A to guide prospects to an understanding of how the Hyper Island offering will benefit their business
  • Ability to learn at speed on how to create learning solutions to solve business problems
